Christmas Joy

Well since Melissa was due to have sinus surgery today, we had Christmas a few days early this year. Elsa & Nora didn't seem to mind at all. They were very excited to hear Santa's sleigh bells the night before and couldn't get to sleep because they were so excited. When it was all said and done, they had a great day, got a ton of toys and enjoyed seeing everyone over at our house. The princess dolls were an instant favorite as were the musical instruments. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Halloween

We've got a few pictures up from Halloween at Great-Grandma Weiland's house and from our block. The girls picked out their fairy costumes and Melissa did a great job putting them all together. Despite it being bitter cold on Halloween night, the girls toughed it out and still went through the neighborhood.

We also have a picture of the new vinyl wall cling that Melissa ordered from Lisa through Uppercase Living. We put it up in the guest room and it really looks good. The whole "cheep" thing is amusing too.

Apple Picking

Melissa took the girls out to the Elegant Farmer on Sunday. They had a good time and enjoyed climbing the trees along the way. We now have about 45 lbs of apples at home, so if you are in the area and need an apple we're the place to stop.

Do Men Age Gracefully?

Okay, so most of you know Jason does a majority of the posting, but today it is my turn. Jason's sense of humor keeps our house humming. When the duldrums of day in day out start to get to me, he makes me smile. Who else would voluntarily shave male pattern baldness into their head and then walk around for over 24 hours at work that way?

Pumpkin Freeze Fest

We survived the Pumpkin Fest again this year. The weather was quite comfortable at 37 degrees and 25 mph winds, good times. The girls pretty much just stayed in the trailer to stay warm, the rest of us weren't so smart. We also hit the pumpkin patch on the way home afterwards to ride the ponies, feed the goats and walk through the corn maze. The girls loved it.

Disney!

So the latest Disney pictures are up in the slide show area. We've got the girls riding the Magical Express to the hotel, at the hotel fountain, splashing at Daisy's Boat, with their new puppies, with their Minnie Mouse ears, and a few at the beach. Too many other ones to list.

We've had a good trip and are packing up right now to leave tomorrow afternoon. Talk to everyone soon.

It's been a good summer and I'll just leave it to the pictures.

Here's Your Mid-Summer Update

There's been a lot going on around here lately. So much in fact that there hasn't even been time to post. We'll do our best to sum things up in one post.

First Uncle Matt was in town for a few days back in May. The weather was perfect and the girls got to try out their new splash pool.

Then it took a while before the weather was warm enough to set up the big pool. Elsa and Nora took to the pool like a couple of pros. The only thing missing was a juice box in a coolie.

Then Uncle James and Bonnie were in town and the whole crew went out for a Brewers' Game against the Mets. Cotton Candy...every kids favorite.

Then it was time to spend a few days Up North with Grandma and Grandpa Gregory. The girls were good helpers for the strawberry picking...or eating.

And lastly they got in a little bit of fishing.

Then there was the 4th of July festivities in Tosa. A parade in the morning, pony and camel rides in the afternoon and fireworks at night. Then there was a second trip Up North for the Gregory Palooza with everyone else that made it.

A whole new album of pictures is available in the slideshow.

New Big Kid Bikes!

We went to the Wheel & Sprocket Bike Expo tonight with the intention of having the girls try on some bikes to see what size would fit them. Thirty minutes later the girls were riding their new bikes out of the Expo Center. After seeing the way their eyes lit up when they were trying them, we couldn't leave without getting them. The girls are now saving up their money for a nice bell to put on the handles.

Gymnastics

The girls got a chance to try open gym this morning at a nearby gymnastics club. They got about 1 1/2 hours to do anything they wanted. As usual it took them a little while to warm up, but by the end they were bouncing, hanging, jumping, and somersaulting wherever they could. They will definitely be going back sometime soon.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

The girls are wearing their newest shirts, made by Melissa, to celebrate. Happy St. Patrick's Day and also a Happy Birthday to Mom.

4th Birthday Already?!

Well it was finally the day of the birthday party. Elsa and Nora couldn't help but ask every day "How many more days until my birthday." And then inevitably after the answer, "But that takes a really long time!"

This year they wanted a bunny shaped cake with polka dots and princesses and some animals on the top of it. We got that worked down to a Princess cake.

Thanks to everyone for coming and helping out and enjoying yourselves.

Feel free to leave comments below each post.

Waterpark!

The family decided it was time for a break from the cold so Country Springs Hotel was the place to go. The girls started out a little skiddish about actually swimming but after floating by themselves they didn't want to stop. We took a break for dinner Saturday night, but then swam until about bedtime. Mama let the girls order room service for dessert and six cookies and two milks were soon delivered. After breakfast in the morning the girls swam until lunch time and by then everyone was pretty much tired out.

A Trip to the Museum

The girls have been going a little stir-crazy with all the cold weather keeping them in the house for so long. The museum is coming in handy for some quick getaways. The girls have seen just about everything in the museum now, but they keep asking to see the butterflies first. Here's just a few of the pictures, the rest are in the slideshow.
